Kawaks isn't Mame.

IMHO, it's Mame32 More! .84u3 that's the best Mame emulator with Kaillera enabled. It has the most games supported (including all the ever-popular CPS2 and NeoGeo games) and takes advantage of the latest improvements in the Mame source code.*

Mame32k .64 is the most popular, but I think that's mostly due to ignorance.

*Of course Mame itself is up to version .88, but recent versions (.85 and on) have changed various input protocols, so I'm not surprised that kaillera enabled versions have been late in coming. Still, Mame32m84u3 is still light years ahead of .64 or .67.

Ignorance, ignorance, ignorance. thats exactly it.

I'm sure some day people will see people hosting all these cool 3-d fighting games and convert to mame more. Some day............

If you mean Mame32k .67 or .64, then no, it's not any better. It's older, which means it has fewer games supported AND it lacks many of the improvements and features added since then.

Sure, in terms of system requirements some of the games might be a little more forgiving on older machines in those old versions, but other than that I don't see why anyone would prefer them, again, except out of ignorance that a better version exists.

I just switched to Mame32 .90K from Mame32More! 84. That version was good while it lasted, but good luck finding a KOF2002 or 2003 release that actually WORKS on it. Mame32K on the other hand has had zero probs for me.

I have a working copy of King of Fighters 2002 and 2003. I also have Plasma Sword, Battle Arena Toshinden, SNK VS Capcom Chaos and Garou, Mark of the Wolves. Sure, it's a pain in the ass to have to replace your ROMs, but it's perfectly able to be done. If you'd like, Nightmare, I can send you any of the above ROMs over AIM. My screen name is (surprise surprise) Zefnex. I'm usually on from 4-10 EST. If I'm not, I'm crawling around Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne as Zefnex_Bellarus.
