web server in kaillera not sending correct Content-Type or s

Postby Chalex » Thu Mar 20, 2003 6:26 pm

try
http://dc.cif.rochester.edu:27888

The output is rendered just fine in IE 6.0 under WinXP, but Konqueror (not sure of version) on my friend's linux box renders it as plain text.
Phoenix 0.5 under WinXP also just renders it as text.

I recommend using proper http headers, should be an easy fix.

<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">

That's an example of the beginning of a well-formatted HTML file..

I think you're missing the point as to why it's plain text.

If it were html, if you wanted to format it in a CGI or PHP script, html would just add extra stuff that needs to be cut out.

Rob over at http://isopalace.com has a neat little PHP include script on his site for his kaillerasrv, check it out.
