Crashes every time I run....please help!

I have only just discovered the joys of Kaillera, but very often the program crashes when I choose to 'play network game' on the 'file' menu. I get the message below and the whole Mame32k drops.

I've managed a good few enjoyable on-line games with kaillera and am longing for some more, but even after re-installation, the same problem keeps occuring. Now, I can't get it to the server choice page at all.

Are there any known incompatibilities with virus killers or the like?

I hope someone knows how to fix this!

Try moving / deleting kaillera.ini from the windows directory

Its happening again....

Tried deleting the kaillera.ini file again this time, but it gets to the network screen, says "requesting list", then crashes out with:

In addition to this....

i've just managed to get in, don't ask me why/how, and got a server list.
I clicked 'waiting games', pressed 'refresh', it searched and then crashed out.
Same message.

I have noticed that sometimes the servers that are named not using the a-z lettering sometimes cause the code to start to put server names and so forth in the wrong columns in the listings - could this be part of the problem?

i have this problem as well right know, but deleting the kaillera.ini file didn,t help too, but replacing the kaillera client file (kailleraclient.dll) for an older version, in this case 0.84c, fixed the problem, i believe this is a main server request problem since it happens sometimes, in a while for sure, the problem will be autofixed
and sorry but i don´t know where you can get kaillera client 0.84c

Has anyone got this particular version of the client dll ? 0.84c apparantly....

If so, please could you post it so it can be downloaded by everyone !

Looking at the amount of page views this topic has got so far, it may be needed!! (30-odd in 3 hours)

I noticed some people in the chat areas saying how quiet it was on the servers - perhaps this is why!

where i can send that file? the problem was fixed at the moment i wrote it, but surely it´ll happen again sometime, so if you are still interested tell me where.

it´s not really necesary to delete the newest kailleraclient.dll, just rename the oldest version to this name, and after a while, rename again the newest, surely the problem would be selfixed. as a matter of fact, that problem happens since those new options appeared (flood control, recent, etc).

I have the exact same problem but switching between different versions is annoying. Anyone with 0.84c can PM me and I will give them my e-mail addy. Thanks in advance!

i got that version if you are interested, but don´t forget you may also start netplay, and quickly hit the stop button before the error happens, and go to the recent list, maybe you´ll find there the servers you are looking for.
