This is sickening. The least you could do is say the project is dropped rather than not say anything at all. I'm sitting here on servers being spammed by some mad asians crashing them all with no server contact information to tell the operator his server is being crashed. There is a restart script at the very least, but the server might as well stay down since this has been going on for the past week.

If Kaillera is a dropped program, I quote someone else on the subject: "How many people would be willing to fix the damned thing if they had the source?" I told him I'd give up sleep.

I know that Cristophe is not coming back anytime soon or even ever, but i blame this in the mame32k client. Someone needs to update mame32k and disable the CLOSE and VERSION commands completely, no one uses it anyways. Thats the only way the spammers will not close and ruin our games. I noticed that when i use kawaks, the wannabe hackers cant close my game because it doesnt have the close and version commands, all they can do is keep rejoining my game to bother me but at least i can still play that way. So all we need is a new mame32k or at least a hacked mame that removes those annoying commands.

Kwazaa, uhh, there are many more ways of closing games than those two exploits.

Yeah i know, but you know that most of these so called hackers are just little kids or loosers who use these because they dont know other ways to close our games. Yet they have fun in ruining games for some reason. I actually dont see any fun in that. DisplacerBeast uses the Close technique all the time and yet, he cant close my games in kawaks, yeah I piss him off when i switch emu because he cant close me, hehehe. They just use tactics that everyone already knows. The real hackers are the only ones that can really cause havoc in kaillera. I dont want to mention names but i know of one person who can really destroy kaillera if he wanted to, but thank god hes on our side.

Kwaza, you say Kawaks doesn't use the VERSION or CLOSE commands?

So somebody could tell the Mame32 more! author to simply remove those commands from the next kaillera build of mame and all would be well? (for the majority of cases)
