Hey whats up, I remember I talked with you once and that you were in the process of making a new kaillera client or something like that. Well I hope this will work out.

If you really are gonna start a new client from scratch, then I suggest you worry more about the lagginess of games. I would like for you to try to get the games to run as fast as possible and that we dont get any desynch while playing. I would like it for your client to have 2 ways to connect in order to play. One way is like kaillera is connected right now, through a master server. The other option we could have is to get connected through direct ip addresses like Zbattle does it. And if you can somehow pull off a tournament mode where we can create our own tournament and post names in our own brackets, then that would be great, but I doubt this will be easy to do. just a suggestion though.

My last and most important suggestion is to of course have all the usual features like ban, kick, flood control, ping limit, and etc. After you get all the basic functions done, then you can start adding all the other cool stuff like having a ranking system, numbers of wins and losses and stuff like that, I think that if your client can count the number of coins a person enters in a game, it can record the data and record the amount of times someone has played or just record the amount of wins and losses and stuff like that. And if you can somehow pull off a tournament mode where we can create our own tournament and post names in our own brackets, then that would be great, but I doubt this will be easy to do. just a suggestion though.

I hope you can get something to work, Ive seen too many people try their own kaillera clients but I guess they werent good enough to get one started. Especially projects like the Mithras project which just didnt happen.

One more thing, SSJGOKU check out the Tetrinet2 software at http://www.Tetrinet2.com. If you can get your client to be something similar to this, you will be my hero :D, lol. Tetrinet2 is cool because it lets you view other people playing games, and it lets you just sit and watch. It also lets you view other peoples stats such as how many times someone has won and lost. It even records the amout of time people have played and percentage of wins and losses. The look of Tetrinet2 is also good and it beats kaillera's look easily. If you can get ideas from Tetrinet2, I would suggest you use them. Good Luck

Thats what I mean, you should work on getting all the basics first to run as best as possible. I know its hard to code an emulator so I know you wont be doing that. When i meant names in brackets, I meant a mode where the creator of the tournament can put the names of the contestants in their own order. And only the host of the a certain tournament can update the brackets. I know, its kinda complicated so just concentrate on the basics right now. Tournament mode can wait, hehehe.
In case you need a beta tester, I can be one of them. I dont know how to code programs, but I can help you find bugs and glitches. keep up the good work.

Hey thats not a bad idea. That could work even better, Just as long as the client has the button to redirect you to the webpage for updating. You should try testing it out and see how it works.

Hi goku, it´s a really good news. Kaillera comunity grew up very fast, so it´s time to develop better tools to rule the kaillera server. New bad agents (crackers searching for bugs) are making disturbing actions that takes the kaillera comunity to a serious situation.

I think that many people will apreciate this proyect. Again, very good news, and thanks for the effort.

We stay in contact for any support for the proyect.

Bye, Santiago from Argentina, Buenos Aires.

if this project ends up successful it will be the best thing to hit kaillera users since the somewhat working no-close patch in my opinion.

i hope it doesn't get abandoned like other past projects... good work so far though.
