I think it has to do something with who player 1 is and who player 2 is. I think it works like this. If im player 1, kaillera only looks at my inputs for player 1 and disables or ignores all the other inputs for my configuration for players 2,3, and 4. If I am player 2, Kaillera only looks at my configuration for player 2 and disables or ignores my other configured inputs for players 1, 3, and 4. Im not sure if thats what you mean but yeah, it is a little tough to figure out. You will figure it out eventually.

Next, programming the client to send the keyboard and controller commands to the server and then back to the other clients who are playing. I have not yet decided whether or not to make this peer to peer or play through the server. If any suggestions on that please shout them out. Obviously there are a lot of problems with running through the server...such as someone crashing the server and disconnectiong everyone. but if it's peer to peer, the server would disconnect from the user, but the user and the user would still be connected and therefore allowed by the internet gods to continue playing.

First of all I have to say that your upcoming project sounds a like blessing.
Regarding the netplay, assuming you haven't completed this portion of the project, I highly recommend that you choose to make it function as peer to peer as opposed to involving a server. A Server usually means more lag, whereas peer to peer has minimal lag. The best case scenario would be implenting netplay into the emu ala Zsnes, but that's an entirely different project  Truthfully if you can somehow simulate the way zsnes connects users, then there should be minimal lag for coast to coast matches; basically try to base your project on Zsnes netplay and it should run fine. Only on Zsnes would you able to reside in Cali and play an opponent in Japan with virtually no lag. Sorry it this all sounds like a plug for zsnes...but either way keep up the good work .

Hey when you make the new kaillera make it that it has a banning feature because isacc the hacker is ALWAYS on Singleclick Arcade. He keeps closing down the emulators from his computer. I hope this has a banning feature. :o

this is really really REALLY great news :)))

i'd concentrate on getting it up to kaillera standards first before doing anything fancy, also recommend you gett a few other mans on your team lol!

security wise i think being able to ban a person from a server will be the best bet, seeing as though most of these fools have to connect to server before they can use any of thier "hacks"

i have some experience codin, if you want contact me on efnet #kaillera

Good Luck :D

p.s i think current kaillera is as fast as it gets, lagwise

Goku, you are acting like a child...

Stop trying to put the forum against bluepower. I don't care about your "project", Elite Kaiser, Windows 98 and Moosehead can do the job.
