Can't host with vista?

Hi, whenever i try to host a kaillera server with windows vista no one can join and i cant join it myself however with xp I could, is there anything I need to change for it to work or is it not vista compatible, thanks

You posted this dozens of times in two forums. I figure you must have been experiencing the debug errors.

All you had to do was post once, wait, go "back" and hit refresh and it would have appeared eventually.

Hopefully with the board upgrade this won't happen anymore...


Anyway, as to Windows Vista, I don't know. Kaillera wasn't made with it in mind, and I don't have Vista (with no plans to) so I have no clue. I am not sure if anyone is developing on Vista for emulators yet even. So unless it's already compatible, I don't know, though I'd expect if it's popular with developers they'd start porting stuff over that isn't compatible.

I would think though if it already works on XP it would work on Vista, but maybe not. I'm not a coder, so I'm the wrong person to ask.

Probably because Vista uses IPv6 [128bit network address length] and XP uses IPv4 [32bit network address length]. The Kaillera applications would need a minor tweak to support it.

That and we need a better kaillera server urgently. Even emulinker is getting hacked these days.
